Fall 2018 Leagues

Updated Saturday July 7, 2018 by Saint Charles Youth Baseball.

Overview

The purpose of the Fall Baseball League is to provide a program in which players can continue to develop and enjoy playing baseball beyond the Spring Program. To help form teams and to provide an opportunity to play with their friends, we allow teams to be formed by coaches. The season will start in mid to late August and continue through early-October. Weekday and weekend games will be played during the first 2 weeks of the season. After that, most games will be played during weekends only (except where lighted fields are available).

Fall Season Structure

The ages for each league are based on age as of Aug 31st for GBA, BYB, and STC.

  • Rookie/Instructional:
    • 5 and 6 years of age (incoming K and 1st graders)
    • 12 games scheduled depending on weather
  • Mustang/Bantam/Rookie:
    • 7 years of age (incoming 2nd graders)
    • 12 games - no tournament
  • Minor:
    • 8 and 9 years of age (incoming 3rd and 4th graders)
    • 10-12 games plus seeded tournament depending on weather
  • Major:
    • 10 and 11 years of age (incoming 5th and 6th graders)
    • 10-12 games plus seeded tournament depending on weather
  • Pony:
    • 12 and 13 years of age (incoming 7th and 8th graders)
    • 10-12 games plus seeded tournament depending on weather
  • Colt:
    • 14, 15, and 16 years of age (incoming 9th, 10th and 11th graders)
    • 12 games plus seeded tournament depending on weather

Players should play with their age or grade. All of this year’s Fall League’s provide a developmental path for next year’s spring league. There is no reason to “play-up” like we have in the past.
