Rookie League - Pre K and K
An instructional and non-competitive league where boys and girls focus on developing the fundamentals of fielding and hitting. Players (and parents) learn the basics of baseball - positions, hitting, running, defense, teamwork and sportsmanship.
  • Games are played with age appropriate rule modifications.
  • Score is not kept.
  • Coaches are volunteers and normally parents.
  • Coaches pitch to their own team (tees used for first year players and where necessary).
  • Coaches focus on teaching positional awareness, hand eye coordination and baseball fundamentals.
  • A safety ball (flexball) and safety base at first base are used throughout the season.
  • Practices and/or games are typically held three days a week with the final schedule being published two weeks prior to the season’s start.
  • Games are held on a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday cadence with the exception of two Saturday and/or Friday games.
  • Practices are on Saturday (subject to scheduling and availability) and/or non-game weekdays.
  • Fridays will be reserved for rainouts.
  • Rookie level clinics will be scheduled throughout the year to familiarize players with additional drills for team and home practice.
  • Clinic dates will be communicated upon schedule publishing.

Bantam League - 1st and 2nd Grade2
A non-competitive, instructional league to learn the basic skills of baseball; i.e., positions, hitting, running, defense and sportsmanship.
  • Games are played with age appropriate rule modifications.
  • Scores are kept but not reported.
  • Team standings are not maintained.
  • Four (4) outfielders are allowed.
  • Coaches are volunteers and normally parents.
  • Coaches call balls and strikes with an emphasis on instruction.
  • Games will be limited to five innings or 90 minutes
  • A combination of coach and player pitching is used in each game
  • Practices and/or games will typically be held three days a week with the final schedule being published two weeks prior to the season’s start.
  • Games will typically be held on a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday regimen with practices on Saturday and/or Sunday, but this is subject to scheduling and availability and will include up to games played on Friday or Saturday.
  • Fridays will be reserved for rainouts and cross over games.
  • Additional Bantam level clinics will be scheduled throughout the year in order to introduce players to additional drills that can then be practiced at home or during scheduled practices.
  • Clinic dates will be communicated upon schedule publishing
  • 2nd grade Bantam players eligible to try out for 8U tournament team

Baselines: 60 ft
Minor League - 3rd and 4th Grade2
A competitive league with emphasis on full skill development, teamwork and good sportsmanship.
  • Games are played with age appropriate rule modifications.
  • Scores are kept and team standings are posted after games are played.
  • Games will be limited to six (6) innings or two (2) hours whichever occurs first.
  • Players pitch for the entire game with each pitcher limited to two (2) innings.
  • Each game will have an official umpire.
  • Base stealing is introduced but limited to stealing only second base.
  • Majority of games will be played Monday - Thursday and Saturdays.
  • Practices and/or games will typically be held three/four days a week with the final schedule being published two weeks prior to the season’s start.
  • Fridays will be reserved for makeup games and an occasional crossover game.
  • Additionally there will be an end of season playoff/tournament.
  • All-Star game to be held after the July 4th holiday week with player evaluations and team selection to occur early May.
  • 3rd and 4th Graders eligible to try out for 9U or 10U tournament team.

A competitive league with emphasis on refining skills of playing baseball, improving teamwork and sportsmanship while remaining instructional.
  • Games are played with age appropriate rule modifications.
  • Scores are kept and team standings are posted after games are played.
  • Games will be limited to seven (7) innings or two (2) hours whichever occurs first.
  • Players pitch for the entire game with each pitcher limited to two (2) innings.
  • Each game will have an official umpire.
  • Lead-offs are introduced.
  • Majority of games will be played on weekdays with some possible weekend games.
  • Practices and/or games will typically be held three/four days a week with the final schedule being published two weeks prior to the season’s start.
  • Additionally there will be an end of season playoff/tournament.
  • All-Star game to be held after the July 4th holiday week with player evaluations and team selection to occur early May.
  • Eligible for Tournament team selection process

A competitive league with the emphasis on more detailed and advanced skills, continuing with instruction and sportsmanship as our highest values.
  • Majority of games will be played on weekdays with some possible weekend games.
  • Practices can be on weekends or weekdays.
  • Practices and/or games will typically be held three/four days a week with the final schedule being published two weeks prior to the season’s start.
  • Additionally there will be an end of season playoff/tournament.
  • All-Star game to be held after the July 4th holiday week with player evaluations and team selection to occur early May.

1 While we try our best to align teams to player neighborhood/school and we also try to accomodate placement requests, it isn't always possible to make it work and have an acceptable number of players on each team.
2 Players that are under the age requirements but prepared to play at this level may do so if they qualify through a player evaluation and board approval process. Evaluation dates to be announced.
