Tournament TeamsUpdated Wednesday June 21, 2017 by Eric Achtien.
Saint Charles Youth Baseball supports tournament teams for five different levels. These are often referred to as In House All Star teams. Teams are comprised of players based on a try out evaluation that occurs mid-season. Based on a coaching evaluation, up to 12 children are chosen for each age group. A player must not be older (But may be younger) than the defined age by April 30th of the current year (ex; a player that turned 9 on May 1st of this year would be eligible to play on either the 8U team OR the 9U team). Teams can begin practicing in late May or early June with their fellow tournament team players. The league will provide uniform and will help to supplement a portion of the cost to play in two local tournaments (Geneva, Batavia, Carol Stream and Barrington are a few tournament towns that have hosted our kids in the past). Tournaments will be played after the Spring Recreational Season is completed and will conclude prior to the Fall Recreational Season beginning. Additional tournaments can potentially be scheduled at the coach and teams discretion with the full cost being absorbed by the team.
